Their debut full length had been long awaited since Harsh Realm, Widowspeak's first physical appearance, was out from Captured Tracks in early 2011. Of course it was impossible for me to have any chances to see them playing in Japan, but you can watch it on YouTube wherever you are.

Harsh Realm sounds simple but incredibly dramatic. Now their self titled LP is on my turntable sounding amazing. Every song on it seems to tell me how beautiful and wonderful life is. My life is slightly boring but Widowspeak might prevent me from such stupid thoughts.

This was my last moment with AIDS Wolf. I miss them so much.

V I V I A N G I R L S J A P A N T O U R 2 0 1 1

This was happened about six weeks ago. When I heard that Vivian Girls would come here again in March or April, I couldn't really believe it. Who knew?

While the last tour in 2009, you know, I organized a show and played with them in Nagoya, then came to two other shows in Tokyo, having good times. The tour seemed to be done well, but it was not enough for them to be invited again I thought.

Two years later, Vivian Girls put out a brilliant full length titled Shared The Joy and it may have helped them get lots of attentions from people who hadn't heard of Vivian Girls before.

I just came to one show in Nagoya this time. It was really humid and hot down stairs. There were over 100 fans packed seeing Vivian Girls and Black Lips playing.

This is the entire show in Nagoya. I almost cried and laughed when Katy was like, "This song is dedicated to Joe." right after they finished Can't Get Over You.
